I purchased a ep 8qt oil pan a while back and just recently installed it. Wow what a pain in my ass. The first problem was the one that they notified everyone of with the pick up tube flange not being flat. Easy enough. Second was the pick up tube mounting bracket to the cradle. Didn't even come close to lining up. Thank god for my machinest father and his skills with a welder. Third was the mounting holes on the oil pan itself didn't line up with the holes on the block, had to drill all the holes oversize just so I could get the bolts in. fourth was when I went to spin the crank after instalation the crank lobe hit one of the corners on the mounting surface of the pan. Masked the pan off and ground down the problem area. Fifth and probably the biggest piss off with the whole pan was when I went to read install the 2 extra bell housing bolt flange by the oil filter tree the flange hit the side of the pan. And not by a little bit either. Excessive material needed to be taken off of the bracket itself plus I had to massage the side of the pan where the nuts were touching to make sure that it wasn't going to touch an vibrate causing a hole or Crack in the future. What a hunk of junk. Looking back I would have never waisted my money on it and would have went with the specialtyz pan. Complete waste of money more of a headache than anything. I hope anyone looking at this pan will learn from my experiences and just don't bother waisting your time and money on it, and to buy something that is made from a oem pan.
